Sounding the Stone - Our entry for the Sony 1 min film competition 2017
Testimonials
"Our expectations were unwittingly too low, you gave us a very special transcendent whole-of-life memorable occasion - upstairs and downstairs, stationery and peripatetic. The climax was truly that and superbly crafted. You are very good at what you do and I wish we could do it every week. Thank you."

What is it about?
Soul Soundings take place in some of the world’s most ancient and sacred buildings- Wells Cathedral and Bath Abbey for example. Candy invites participants to explore the resonance, connecting us to those who have worshipped and sung there over hundreds of years. We move around the building, experiment with different tones, use echoes, drones and free singing to deeply experience the resonance within the fabric of the building.
Music is learnt by ear and the events are open to all, from experienced musicians to beginners. Over the last few years we have also raised over £3400 for the Barenboim Said Foundation, and Oxfam Syrian Refugee Crisis Appeal through this event.
Next Date
The next Soul Soundings will take place on Friday 31st Jan 2020 at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the FULL Soul Soundings are now booked out. You can still come and join in most of the event, but you won’t be able to go to the Chapter House. Tickets for this will be available on the door on the day from 7pm.
