What are these Holidays about?
This experience is far more than just a singing holiday- by the end of the week we will have sung together, met people in the local community, shared stories and songs; we will have explored the wild landscape, cooked and shared meals, played games, danced a jig and got to know each other better. Perhaps we will even have deepened our appreciation of the land, our place in it, our communities and our selves.
Candy has been running Singing on the Wild Side singing holidays for eight years: on Skye, Orkney, the isle of Eigg, Bardsey island and Donegal in Ireland. Now with her involvement in the Song House, most holidays will be centred in Donegal. It offers all stunning scenery- beaches and mountains, fantastic traditional music and craic, as well as a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
Please look through the testimonials which describe in participants’ own words the experience of Singing on the Wild Side.

SINGING on the Wild Side in Donegal, Ireland Saturday 22nd July - Saturday 29th July 2017
Sing your heart out in the Bavarian hills: 5-12 Sept 2015
We stay in a little town, Frauenau, 5 miles from the border with Czech Republic, which has been a centre of glass making for hundreds of years. Bild-Werk-Frauenau is an international forum for Culture, Art and Education, and takes place in a series of picturesque barns, originally a Glass Works. We will sing every morning and afternoon, and dip into watching other students working at wood carving, painting and glass engraving.
We go on quite a journey over the week: learning songs by ear from many countries, some musical theory, some singing technique. In the afternoon we take trips to sing in local churches, woods and other places of interest.
